- `~/.fonts/` is deprecated, use `~/.local/share/fonts/` instead.

- `~/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf` will be loaded by `/etc/fonts/conf.d/50-user.conf` and therefore takes precedence over the rules defined in files starting with a higher number.
